Edit: Jakki’s the best ever. <3

Jakki is all busy being on planes and stuff (again). So there was no postcard for yesterday.

I’ll possibly be putting some together to make things a bit less stressful for her. Not sure what will happen with yesterday’s card. I guess if I make one before Jakki does I’ll put it up and then she can use her one for today… or something.

Either way…

CAM CARDS ARE BACK. PROBABLY.

Today marks the first month in Jakki’s 365 project where every single postcard was made entirely by herself!!

I think that’s a big achievement! Well done sweetheart!

Did you know they are the one of the oldest known living creatures in the world? They existed way back before humans were even around. Around the time visible life was just appearing.

And in that 250 million years, they have hardly evolved.

The T-rex’s and Trilobites are gone but the horseshoe crab is STILL HERE.

They look dangerous but they are really just harmless (unless you’re attacking it of course!)

They contain blue blood, which some claim is medicinal (but that may be just as true as eating tiger penises). One horseshoe crab only contains a few mL’s of blue blood, so you can imagine how incredibly expensive the crabs and their blood is!

In fact, the horseshoe crab’s eyes and blood is so similar to humans, scientists are still researching its blood and visual features.

I just thought I’d share that with everyone because it’s keeping me inspired today and that’s ALWAYS a good thing.

Today I install the lightbox plugin, activate it and VOILA it works. Seriously now….

UGHHH. I’m very glad its working now Shutter, Highslide and Thickbox all failed so thank god lightbox is working

ANYWAY I have been on holidays and starting uni tomorrow…so yeah I didnt actually get around to finishing that illustration I was talking about in my last blog, but I will probably soon In the meantime, I have spent the last few hours trying to get this nextgen gallery plugin to work.

Actually its not the plugin…its the image effects thing. I finally upgraded all my WP databases to 2.8 today but apparently its now on 2.8.1(!) and fantastico hasn’t yet caught up. I also upgraded all my plugins here and expected everything to work smoothly. But suddenly all my images load in new html pages now!! Soo I’m trying to figure out what’s wrong. I think I’ve got it all figured out – going to use Shutter from now on since its so easy and lightweight.

My internet is going sooo slow right now though…its actually taken me 20 mins just to upload a 124kb file through FTP. It has also failed numerous times and I’m hoping it’ll all upload by the time I finish writing this post. =.=

WP Grins still isn’t working on WP either….no idea what’s up with that plugin.

Aaaanway I’m pretty much really frustrated right now – haven’t done this in a while and I’m so rusty at all this coding and whatnot. Before I was editing my template and me being the idiot tried to rush the process by clicking “save changes” before the page fully loaded. This resulted in not one but THREE of my template pages being deleted. And yes, I did not make backups. I know…I am an IDIOT. So I spent the next 2 hours fixing that up and everything.

UGHH.

NO UPDATES I hear you cry!!!

Blame that on extreme procrastination, lack of motivation and just plain apathy in general.

I know that sounds really, really bad…but I have just NOT been in the mood to update any of this recently…even more so drawing and stuff. I really want to get back into it but either never find the time or just have other pressing matters to look at…like my bank account.

Hahahaha.

I promise I will find the time to add something more here soon though.

I have new photos to put up and I have also been working on this drawing thing in illustrator. Ok well I really have only spent like 2 hrs on it so far but its been sitting on my computer since February in its roughest form and is just WAITING for me to finish it.

But yeah. I guess I’ll wait til after uni ends to finish that off!

I can’t wait. Really.

I am lost in a sea of pseudo-olde-english with keeping up with my favourite daytime soaps, choosing my retirement village, just generally being asleep, dreaming and chancing to society in general, my day is a magical flight from the second I am woken by murderous Teletubbies to well after sun-down. I am putting money aside so I can run away. but this damned rock is heavy.

I won’t promise anything to you but I will blog about it when I find my way home. Until I need your shoulder to cry on. Unless of course the pool with the cocktail bar is heated!.
