I’ve been busy organizing stuff the past week, and I’ve made *some* progress.

I realize this site is a huge HUGE mess- some images don’t work….the comic page doesn’t work AT ALL….some things just look plain horrible…yeah.

I know.

It’s because when I ported all my folio stuff from elusionerie.com I was lazy and didn’t change all the hyperlinks and image urls. And now that elusionerie.com has expired, it’s not exactly up and running to host all the pretty pictures and whatnot.

I need to do a biiiggg overhaul of this site, starting from the ground up. It sounds totally fun right? ~_~

Anywho. I scanned some stuff that needs to be edited and cropped and compressed, and I also finished my door illustration! Yeah. I KNOW. The one I started all the way back in March of 2009. When I was in Singapore. Yes. THAT illustration.

I opened it up and decided I’d better finish it before the file becomes corrupted from being unfinished for so long. Thing is…I’d kinda forgotten what I had drawn. I’d left some notes in there but I kinda like the concept of this drawing. It’s simple….but I like it that way.

Uhhh yeah. It’s kinda rough actually. I wasn’t going for the perfect line-age and honestly it could do with a lot more detail, but that may be for later….I am just really rusty with digitization…especially illustrator and photoshop. Thinking bout using this for my blog. Maybe.

Also, thank god I have copies of my stuff on this site because I’ve lost a whole bunch of stuff on my hdd. Like my drawing of the flying pig..and the improved heart dichotomy…stuff like that. Crappy backups and me being stupid being the reason why.

Ugh. Anyway, I’ll get onto the new layout and updatation and removing dead links and replacing image urls soon. VERY SOON! I’m even getting annoyed at myself for taking so long to update this site.

Wow, I have not exactly updated this site in a while have I?!?!

Lazy me. I have just been busy, busy, busy. Sooo busy I don’t even have time to blog anymore!

I actually have quite a few things to add to this site, the only thing is, most of them need to be scanned in or compressed, which takes AGES.

And me being on my macbook and all…..it just doesn’t have the power I NEED to do this all in lightning fast speed!

I’m definitely looking to get a bigger, faster, more powerful desktop computer soon.

In the meantime, I will try organize all my things so I can eventually add some new content to the site!!

Which will be…hopefully soon.

First off, you may have noticed elusionerie.com is no longer. That’s because IT IS NO LONGER!!!!

Yes that’s right. It expired in January and I decided not to renew it. Why? Firstly because I haven’t updated the site in yonks. Secondly, too many people I knew in real life was stalking it, and I don’t feel comfortable blogging/updating it without thinking about that too. Thirdly, I’m not paid enough to sustain two domains.

So yeah. Ephereal has basically become my end all be all for now. I have two new projects however. Those of which will hopefully become full scale ones and not just random side projects like last time *cough* The Unexplained *cough*

I am starting a photoblog for one. Its in the process of getting a new layout, but once that’s done I will update it via the amazing power of the iphone. Muahahahaha.

I am also starting a movie review blog. This is something I’m taking a bit more seriously because I do want to write a bit more professionally and also practise with different writing styles. Umm…basically trying to get rid of my english essay style! So please click, follow, read, review etc. I’m going to be doing reviews maybe twice/three times a week on anything I may feel like reviewing….but don’t worry, I’ll do alot of current ones too. I’m looking at it as something fun and productive at the same time too, so it’s not so bad. Haha.

So that’s basically it!!! Help me out here and gimme some love. This website is starving of it.

Get excited.

This website will get a whooolleee lot cooler in the coming months. Well…let’s hope so anyway. I’m sick of procrastination!!!

I have found out this website doesn’t exactly work very well on the iphone..or any mobile device for that matter…HAH!!! Oh well. I’ll worry about that laterrrr….in the meantime, I have a LOT of stuff to add here. Random photos, and lots and lots of different sketches and drawings. I’ve made it a new year’s resolution to draw something every week, and I plan on sticking to it!!! I want to at least finish my entire visual diary by the end of the year, because right now, its been stuck at around 25ish pages in and I’ve had it since the start of 2009!!!!

Anyway, I STILL haven’t finished that door illustration which I started wayyy back in March in Singapore!!!! I haven’t even LOOKED at it, so yeah, I really don’t know when I’ll even put that up. But anyway, I haven’t actually done anything in Illustrator for a a while, or Photoshop for that matter, so I am really very rusty. I even have to do some graphics for my CTV work experience(doing storyboarding, stuff like that) and it is SO hard for me to get back into it….sigh.

For what has been lacking in the digital drawing department, I’ve done a lot of sketches though, and I’ve been feelig totally inspired lately. I don’t know whether its because I just want to do something productive, or because I just need to keep my mind off things, or because of all the other stuff that has been happening in my life lately. I’m kinda glad I AM feeling motivated to actually do something though…it’s been a while since I’ve done ANYTHING remotely creative!!! I actually was cleaning out my room today, you know, being the first day of 2010 and all, and I stumbled across some very old sketches in my old visual diary, and my old sketchfolio. Amazing how nostalgia can get to you. its the most amazing, weirdest feeling…but its so….nice to see how you’ve progressed in terms of style and ideas. Anyway!!!

I have actually nearly finished the website for my mum’s friend so go check it out here. I just need to add in the photos and it’s pretty much done, but yeah, the text and stuff still need to be touched up. It’s not exactly meant for screens smaller than 1024/768 by the way…..but whatever, who even uses 800×600 these days anyway?!?! So yeah that’s basically all that has been happening……I’ll try add all the new stuff soon. Promise!!
